Envar is a producer and supplier of high quality soil improver, woodland garden mulch, wood chip and biomass. We operate green waste composting sites across England with sites in Surrey, Northamptonshire and West London as well as our flagship site in Cambridgeshire where we also process food waste. In addition to composting Envar also recycle coffee grounds.
Through our cost-effective and sustainable green waste management services, Envar is committed to:
- Sending zero waste to landfill by processing food waste and green waste into compost
- Production of quality biomass fuels for commercial customers
- Replacing high carbon footprint peat with high quality compost in the growing process to improve soil health while reducing environmental impact
- Carbon Sequestration: capturing carbon to be safely stored in soil – healthier soil can store more carbon which reduces the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere that contribute to global warming

Sustainability at Envar
Envar’s flagship site in Cambridgeshire is one of the UK's largest in-vessel and windrow composting facilities.
The facility produces quality PAS100 and CQP certified soil improver for the agricultural, viticultural and horticultural markets, through the processing of green waste, food waste, co-mingled food and green waste, and specific organic waste. The site also operates a biomass production plant and a coffee grounds cleaning plant.
